Birthday thank you cards that have pizzazz can be handmade. Check out lots of card ideas for all your homemade cards on this site.

Start with a black card and experiment with your punches. For this thank you card idea, I used my circle punch to cut out 1/2 a circle. It created a new interesting detail and leads your eye to the sentiment. I used my scallop punch for the personalized message. You can use your favorite stamp for the sentiment or use stickers. I like printing it from my laser printer since I can print just about any message and make a large quantity if I'm making several thank you cards at once. I can even personalize each sentiment on a page.

Scallop border punches are so versatile and they give the feeling of lace without really using lace. I try to use my scallop border punch as much as I can for my card making ideas so I can get mileage out of it.

I used a small heart punch and added glitter for more embellishments but, again, you can use stickers or a small stamp. The heart punch was economical since I needed several for the side.
