Mother Day card to craft - try this handmade card idea and color your stamps with glitter. Add a pretty butterfly when thinking of homemade card ideas.
I found a pretty butterfly stamp and wanted to incorporate it into my Mothers Day card ideas. Since I wanted to add glitter to the stamp, I chose to use solid colors for the rest of the card so that the butterfly would stand out. For this handmade Mothers Day card, I used purple, pink and silver glitter. I like Martha Stewart's glitter pack since it has a good variety of colors to use for this handmade card making project.
Make Mothers Day cards using craft punches. I used Fiskar's 1/2 corner punch around the sentiment and Fiskars' Something Old Something New decorative corner punch around the white cardstock background. It's hard for me not to use pattern paper for my homemade greeting card ideas but there are times when you want to feature an embellishment, like a pretty butterfly on this happy Mothers Day card, and need to make a card with solid color paper.
You can make this Mothers Day card for a grandmother, aunt or sister, just revise the sentiment accordingly.
Go to handmade greeting cardTry this floral print card to make Mothers Day cards. I used a half inch corner punch on all four corners of the sentiment. First, create a square border on your computer and then add flourishes along the four corners of the border. Then type your sentiment along the top, but inside the border.
Once you place your sentiment on the card, you can add a floral sticker or stamp if you like.
