Create a pretty Mothers Day card with a butterfly stamp. Try glitter, punches and ribbon for your homemade card ideas to make a card.
I love this butterfly stamp and have used it for lots of my paper cardmaking ideas, especially to create Mother's Day cards.
For this card, I stamped the butterfly on white, cardstock paper and carefully cut it out by hand. I added four different colors of glitter using a toothpick and white glue. I used Martha Stewart's brand since it has a variety of colors to choose from.
I also used Fiskars' border punch for this handmade card making project. I used the punch along the bottom of the pink paper. If you need a simpler Mother's Day ideas, use a butterfly sticker instead of a stamp and eliminate the border punch along the bottom of the pink paper.
Don't forget ribbon for your homemade greeting card ideas. I used pink grosgrain ribbon for mine.
Handmade Mother's Day cards are fun to make because there are so many pretty materials and embellishments to choose from.
Butterfly stamps are versatile for a variety of cards. I reused it for this handmade Mothers Day card. But instead of coloring it pink and brown like the card above, I tried using peach and orange colored glitter.
I used the same border punch as the card above, however, I used it on all four sides of the cream rectangular shape. It does get a bit tricky when you try to align the border punch to make the corners but practice it a few times on scraps of paper before cutting out your cardstock paper.
